So Glad When Daddy Comes Home

We survived the 'month without Daddy.'  This past month Greg had to spend his weekdays in Dallas and then a total of 20ish hours with us on Saturday/Sunday.  This is the first time in a couple years that he's had to travel for work & he hasn't been on campouts/high adventures since being released from Young Men, so it had been a while since we've functioned without him--- pre-Luke time.

The best part of the whole experience (besides the beautiful invention that is Skype and doing it as much as we could) was being in Round Rock, last weekend and seeing him like 8 extra hours, just because of the drive difference. Honestly, I don't know how miltary spouses do it; I need Greg.  I get a little shaky without him.

Anyway, we were definitely watched over while he was gone, but it's sure nice to have him back.

Even the kids think so (this was when he came home for good).  He still has one more trip next week, so we're going back up to Round Rock, so we don't have to be alone.  After that, I'm requesting (i.e. hoping) that he doesn't have to travel for another two years.... hey, a girl can dream. ;)
