Holiday Riverwalk

We had lots of fun with MeMa and DeDa during their week long visit. The kiddos were showered with extra attention, love, play time, and goodies! Greg and I didn't bathe our kiddos once while they were here! And we went on a couple dates too (BEYOND excited for HP7 part 2 during my birthday week next year)!

Jared especially loved this dinosaur puzzle box. He loved to bring them down on the floor and build with MeMa or DeDa. Both kiddos also showed their grandparents just how much they love to read, every day, multiple times a day.

The last night of their visit, we took them downtown to see the Christmas lights on the Riverwalk. From our experience {last year} I was really nervous to fight Christmas crowds, but I had nothing to worry about. Seriously, Texas friends, if you want to visit the Riverwalk at Christmas go the Monday after Thanksgiving. Apparently, early in the week is usually a good bet. Since MeMa and DeDa hadn't seen the lights, we went on a night boat ride. It was a fun experience to have and see the lights from a different perspective (even if some of them weren't turned on yet).

Every time we go down to the Riverwalk I get this feeling of overwhelming gratitude of living where we do. It's perfect for our little family. Yes, it is further away from family than one would hope for, but this is our home. We are where we should be, now if I could get that peaceful feeling in every other aspect of our lives... :)

Thanks for the visit, MeMa & DeDa! We can't wait to visit y'all in January!

  2. Hey, gang!

Mema and DeDa had a great time too. I was fabulous to spend time with family and the two cutest grandkids in the world!

Can wait until we see you in the new year . . .
