33 & a half weeks

Here's my belly and all it's glory a week ago today. I'm at the point where I feel like the baby's getting bigger by the day. He's constantly reaching new heights in how to kick, punch, and stretch out within me; making me more uncomfortable by the second. It's uncomfortable, yes, but I don't mind because that means he's getting stronger and each day we get closer to meeting our son face to face. Five and a half weeks to go, people--- the home stretch has begun--- this is not a drill!

Easter Weekend

Ash & Jer came to visit us during the easter weekend and we had a BLAST---even though we were snowed in most of Friday. Friday's snowfall was likely to be the last of the season, so Gweg and Jer really wanted to go sledding. Since Ash & I are not suppose to be going sledding because of our 'delicate conditions' we were the official photographers. Sledding was only one of the highlights of our weekend with them; we really miss them and can't wait to take baby J down to see them in July. Here are some pics:

Props to Pops

I have to give props to my Dad. He's been an avid golfer for a long time. I remember the first time I went golfing with him I felt like I was in the club.

He's hit golfing milestones throughout the years and this week he achieved one of the hardest ones--- He hit a HOLE IN ONE! Don't worry, he had witnesses! :)

I'm so proud of him! Great job, Pops!

A Baby Shower

Sorry it's taken me so long to post. We've had visitors the last two weekends and I've been 'attempting' to play hostess. Dell--Gweg's mom--came in town to be there for her first grandbaby's shower. We took her around Madison, went shopping, and explored campus. We're grateful that she was able to come and can't wait for her and Paul to return to meet baby J in June.

The baby shower was lots of fun; not a lot of people showed up because there were two other things going on through church that weekend. My visiting teacher and another friend did an amazing job. Dell had the job of taking pictures and did a fantastic job.

We're really excited that we only have a few more weeks until he comes. I have some pictures from this weekend and belly pictures that I'll post soon. For now, here are the shower pictures:

The Warm-Up

The snow has been melting here and everyone is in the mood for SPRING--- myself included. I want the snow to be gone so the kids aren't soaking wet from the puddles and slush on the playground. I want to use purely light coats and no boots. Above all, I'm really excited and anxious to meet my Spring Son. I'm getting more anxious partly because Gweg was born six weeks early and for us that's TWO WEEKS FROM NOW!

The last couple of weekends we've done things to get ready for baby J. First off, we went to the hospital where he will be born for a tour. It was great; the Family Birth Suites are hooked up. Then, this past weekend we had our Childbirth Class. It was so amusing; a woman in our class was 12 days away from her due date---and she was having contractions during the class and using the birthing ball. This class was great---Gweg and I learned some tools to use and I feel prepared---as much as I can without never gone through it before. Basically, when people ask if I'm getting nervous I say, 'no' and I can say it truthfully. Many women have done this before me and will continue to do it after me; PLUS I will be in a institution that deals with births daily. Yay for prepared professionals and educating the new parents.

Oh---this weekend is the baby shower and my mother-in-law is coming in town for it---how cute is that? Pictures to follow...

Question:

How would one go about getting new maternity insurance if one's job is unbearable when one is 30+ weeks pregnant and doesn't want to change doctors?

This is all 'hypothetical.' It's not like my job is trying to make me put them before my health, my baby, and my family. It's nothing like that at all...
